So bright in the sunlight and the gold flake really shows. Gonna put the tail back on and get the tire off to go get it repaired.

@spdygak where did you get the tail tribal???? I had a graphics guy lined up for a very similar graphic for the tail and the front cowl. Once we agreed on the graphics and a price I never heard from him again.

Well done @spdygak looks like a pro job. I heard plasti-dip holds up very well, so well that some dip their whole car.

Thanks guys! Great day riding and hitting some pic challenges

Here are a few more pics. I will post the bad news later. Decals over plastidip combined with heat… not so good. I can control some of the damage but I will be looking at a way to mask and dip the tribal in Navy Blue when I do the swingarm. The dip itself is holding up well but the decals not so much.

I only see one thing I don’t like… the “slow traffic move right” decal is gone. That was awesome!

It’s coming back. I have my decal guy working on new ones. He will make my broncos for my helmet and my front fender also.

Amazing job! Love how that color pops! Any worry about the tank getting scratched by your belt or does it seem to be not affected?

Well I had my cell phone in my pocket and it’s in an aluminum case so it made a couple of small scratches. I need to sand them out. I have a tank pad. I coated the tank and tail in enamel clearcoat in order to protect the dip. I was worried about the dip rubbing off on high contact areas.

Flames totally make me hate it, but once I look past the flames it’s a really sweet looking bike. I love the amount of work and effort you put into it. I’ll have to post updates when I change my bike to white.

Plasti Dip is great. A simple green back cleans off the bugs and road grime. My crappy decals have not fared so well. I thought it would be a good idea to Krazy glue some of the edged that were peeling up. Well, they rest of the decals are peeling off so I have some touch up work to do.

Looks like ghost flames if I can get the rest of the blue off. I got a gallon of clear dip and I got a tint kit in order to get the blue I want and I’ll redo the tribal and the swingarm.

eh, live and learn right? Plasti dip is fairly new as a custom paint job. I have lots of dip friends now. Very creative group. We have been talking it out, getting custom colors figured out. I’ll post some pics later once I mix my blue.
