Going to deals gap again. This time I rented a cabin 11 miles from the tail of the dragon. Going to be there for a week. Leaving in the morning. Its 9 hours away. Last year I road my bike, which was quite the adventure. This year Im putting the bike in my pickup and driving. Im so excited!!

Anybody road the dragon or been to the smokies? Its great :)

Nice rental! I have always wanted to ride the Tail and will make it out there. So far I have yet to venture east of the Mississippi in the States. My dream is to buy a nice rv with a toy hauler and travel to every state. Bucket list stuff. But until then I make it to new locations as permitted. Your post is right up my alley. Post some footage and pics when you get a chance. Have fun!

@theresrocket it definetly is a must for any motorcyclist too. Not just the dragon but roads like skyway, which are literally breathtaking and wind through nothing but nation forest for 40 miles.

Its not letting me upload pics right now, and theres no service and shitty wifi in the cabin but i will have a lot soon. We friends on facebook too i uploaded some there yesterday. :)

I see those. Nice scenery! Hope you get some video. Washington is nice too for that same reason. You can get out into the mountains for hours with only a few gas stations and small towns for a quick pit stop.

@kewlbreeze actually Ive been back about a week now. Just hadnt went through pics yet. I had my gopro but i left my charger at home, thats ok though.

And yes it was a fantastic time! Second time being there and i plan to make
Plenty more trips. Its about 9 hours from me but its worth it. A lot of people say the dragon is too glorified and such but it really is a test of ones skills! Unless you put put but who wants to do that. :) Regardless there are a lot of other great roads in the area also, and overall with the bikes, and people, its a great time and every rider should check it out atleast once.
