    Hi all,

I currently ride a 125 rw6 but I’m hopefully going to pick up a 600 f3 around the middle of next month. I joined to ask for pointers on what to look for when buying the bike, but after reading Juliet’s fantastic post I think I’m ready to give it the once over!

Thanks for the great post, it made an informative read! In the unlikely event of anything being missed from there could someone drop me a line please.

Looking forward to chatting with and learning from you all soon!

    Mark

    Hello Mark,

Welcome to the forum and I’m glad you found the review informative.

The F3 is a great bike especially the last 97/98 model as it had remapped ignition, improved ram air and bigger jets.

In view of their age look for crash damage and try to get the best example you can. If you find a good one it will serve you well for many years :-)

Good luck and keep us informed.

    Jules

@damitch welcome! @jules definitely knows her F3 from everything I’ve read. :) I had a 98 and put 14k miles on her in less than a year. It was a good bike, I had a lot of fun on it, and I was sad to see her go. Anyways I hope you get it!

    Cheers. ;)

The F3 will have quite a bit more torque than the 125. You will like it, just go easy at first until you get used to it.

Welcome to the show! Hope you picked up your CBR. I loved my 95’F3. It is well balanced for what is considered a heavier sport bike nowadays and still punchy enough to have plenty when leaving the corners. I did have the throttle pegged a lot but was super forgivable and fun. Keep us updated and pics please. :hi:

Welcome to the forum! Good luck getting an F3. I had one, I loved it. They are tanks mechanically speaking while they still have plenty of grunt to them, and they’re comfy by today’s standards.

Hope you enjoy the ride home! I’ve had mine for a year or so now and much prefer her to the 04 hornet I had previously, enjoy!
