I like to say Hi and what @emcue said in her original post. My experience exactly, except I live in Florida. My only two regrets are that I waited this long, and the days I commute, the trip is too short.

There is a nice new road around the rowing competition lakes. Yes, it’s mostly flat around here.

    Sweet ride! @chrisfl
You should participate in the Member Picture Game. It’ll give you a reason to use your bike more often lol!

@emcue Yes, lol! I guess I’m not the only one that looks for any excuse to go for a ride. I’ll have to look at the game. Thanks

Welcome to RideCBR! I commute almost every day… above 50° LOL. I leave about 4:30am so I usually take the fastest route, but on the way home is another story. I live in WV so I have plenty of hills and twisties love riding home on the back roads.

Definitely check out the picture game.

@dubv I don’t have many options for the route to and from work. Your ride home sounds nice! Do you carry much on your commute? If so what type of storage do you have? I want to commute more but I need to carry a laptop and the old backpack I have doesn’t seen to be a good solution. Any recommendations
    Thanks

@chrisfl I work at a VA as a cook so I don’t carry too much. I carry a knife kit and uniform and small miscellaneous items. I use an Ogio no drag mach 5.

Here’s a video of it. Might be just what you need, but they are pricey

Welcome! Very nice bike! I’d have to agree with everyone else as well. My commute is only 5 minutes and is not nearly long enough.

Thanks @01cbr600f4i my commute is about 25 minutes. In the cage it feels like 45 mins, on the bike 10 mins.

I have dakine backpack that has a padded laptop pocket and plenty of space for all my misc items. I then use a bungie net and out it on my tail. I have a 40 minute commute and hate riding with a pack on. I have been thinking of a small tank bag for longer trips.

Welcome Chris! I haven’t been as active in the picture games anymore, but like @emcue said, it will prompt you to get out and ride even when you don’t need to… wait, when do we not need to ride? We always NEED to ride, what the heck am I saying?!?

Ride until the low fuel light comes on, fill up, and ride back.

Gas is still cheaper than a therapist.

@74demon – And people don’t look at you as funny when you ride, as they do when you tell them you visit a therapist.
