It’s time for the new build thread!!

While I was recovering from the wreck I decided not to wait to look for a new bike. I found a very clean looking 07 600RR with almost 11,000 miles. I would have much rather drove it home but as I was still recovering (it was less than 2 months)she had to come home from Huntsville AL on the trailer.

Picked me up a new AFX helmet and changed the inner shield from smoke to silver and added a few decals

The bike had many mods on it already:

    Vortex rearsets
    Vortex levers
Vortex clip ons (without risers which will be relevant later)
    KR Tuned CF exhaust
Fender eliminator with LED tailight/brake light and turn signals
    Flush mount front turn signals
    SS front brake lines
    Puig double bubble windscreen
    Gear indicator
T-Rex frame sliders- no cut (will be changed)
    T-Rex swingarm spools
    T-Rex front and rear stands
    Tech Spec tank pads
    Honda rear seat cowl
    Battery tender
Two scorpion helmets (both M, sold one immediately)
    Joe Rocket Honda jacket
    Joe Rocket gloves
    Joe Rocket boots
I even found a kick stand pad (for dirt or soft surfaces) in the tail

Soooo, with all that “what more could I do to this bike” you say??

    Decals!!

Speedy Gonzales will go on the swingarm or the rear hugger. Core Moto brake lines, CF plate cover w/LEDs, solder heatshrink connectors for when I install my Spy5000 autostart alarm (yes it survived the wreck) and the bluetooth speaker set up is actually for a friend
The brake lines are smoked (CF look) front and white rear wih evers colored banjos- white/black

The good news for me yesterday was the doc cleared me to ride as my wrist could handle it so I’m officially back to it although I had put 200 “unapproved” miles on over the last week. I have my crampbuster on so I don’t have to grip the throttle too tight.

Now, teh deal with the clip ons. Without risers the Vortex clip ons hit the front fairing stay so the knucklehead PO cut it for clearance. Yes I said CUT IT

I found a new fairing stay for $70 and I picked up some used OEM clip ons to return it to stock height.

I got it used. I’m pretty sure he got it from 1carbontech.
    Just don’t hurt the bunny!!
He’s pretty anal about his CF and he thought it was bulky. I love it though. I think it will fit in my FE, just gotta remove the LED bar on that first.

    Lookin’ good, Jason!

By the way, refresh my memory on the extent of the damage to the previous RR; I assume the forks took quite a hit? How’s the frame? And lastly, did you end up keeping it?

The reason I ask, is that it seems to me that bike would be the perfect candidate for a track-only build, for track days, and maybe even a little club racing one day!

Trick stuff Jason , i love the new brake lines. That one sticker looks like a Fender Guitar sticker , was that one there already or do you play? I liked the tribal bike , but i love the new white one. Great start on the build brother.

@jnsracing here is the totaled thread if you wanna check anything out. And of course my build thread is in my signature.

    http://ridecbr.com/topic/totalled-the-broncos-bike/

Now as for the damage, the tail took the most splitting the subframe on both sides, slightly denting the Yoshi and destroying the battery tray. The front wheel split opened and is currently jammed against the caliper. The rear rim is dented and missing some of the lip. The left frame slider bolt literally bent over and the windscreen is mangled. Other than that it’s in good shape. It’s really not too bad. Forks look good but I won’t know until I pull them really.
The plan is to fix it up and either use it for track and or training for the wife with a stunt cage on it so if she drops it I’m all good. But we will see. She said I can’t spend any $$ on it for 6 months since I have a new one.

Thanks @bambam I love it too! That decal is the Mandalorian symbol on Boba Fett’s chest plate. Yes, I’m a Star Wars geek.

Gonna install new brake lines and new fluid reservoir when I get back. Ordering custom gel seats if my “allowance” gets approved. Working with TST Industries on my undertail and integrated taillight. Got some halo turn signals coming as well!

I like the Honda wing decal; the contrast of red is sharp. Two weeks you say?? That is an awful long time to keep us hanging on this build.

Not sure if you are concerned as I was about it or not, but I ordered a Gen2 flash relay from TST a few weeks ago. It should be plug a play part. It plugs, but does not play. More than a little disappointed. I have been talking with their tech guy for almost a week without much luck.

Interesting. I ordered the IT that’s programmable. It should be in by the time I get home. I’ll let you know my experience. Does your flasher not work at all?

My IT isn’t from TST. The relay from TST is somewhat programmable. I can take it apart and turn a dial to adjust the flash speed. Thanks. I am interested in seeing if someone else has any trouble too.

The OEM relay does work. Once I switch to the TST; the signals nor the dash light up when I flick the button. I am befuddled…

Looks nice! Is that real dyed gator skin, or is it just an embossed pattern on leather or vinyl?
