Amsoil makes an oil for your bike, they also make plenty that wont work for your bike. I think the MCT is the right one, maybe someone can confirm that.

I was having a problem with engine noise in colder weather….A member of another forum I had belonged to Suggested Mobile clean 5000 10w40…..And the noise went away…..It is a standard oil that is blended so well that it rivals syn. in a lot of ways. It is garenteed for 5,000 miles. I still change at 3,000, but its nice to know I dont have to be in a hurry to do it right away. My manual only suggests changing oil at 8,000. It is cheaper than full syn. and I have been happy with it since the switch.

I think full syn is a waste, but I use the Honda full syn anyway. I don’t think the motor really needs it, but the tranny definitely feels better.

I just changed my oil and used repsol full synthetic and my bike runs great. Had a noticeable increase in power. It’s kind of pricey ,almost $80 for 4 liter jug but worth every penny so far.

I use Mobil 1 10-40 in my 05 but have heard good things about amsoil. You should be able to find the correct oil weight for your bike in the manual.

I think that’s an old wives tale. I think you can go back to conventional anytime.

I’m running Repsol full syn. The engine runs smooth and shifts are a lot smoother.

I use motul 300v and I also use motul 5.1 brake fluid

Here is the info for 07-08 recommendations.

Here is what I was looking for:

Motul oils have been around for more than 150 years. One thing that Motul uses that is extremely important in their oils is Ester. Ester is a by product from fatty acids and negatively charged; meaning it will bond to metals. The 300V is the flag ship of the Motul line; this is an Ester based Oil. This type of oil isn’t pumped out of the ground, it is collected from vegetables, coconuts and Methyl products.

Motul’s 300V oil is specifically designed for performance; it has the same lifespan than a typical oil if not more as it takes a lot hotter temps and abuse to break down.’

Oh, wow, that’s exactly the one I was considering. There are two, one for off road, what’s the difference?

And the C5 Motul Chain Lube, tried? I don’t like the overspray from cans, so looking at that as well.

So the oil is pretty green?

And one more about the 5.1:

If the silicone brake fluid doesn’t mix with water (non-Hydroscopic) how is it that it is given both a wet and dry boiling point? I would assume it to only have a dry BP.

Also, Motul, what country is the oil manufactured in?

What’s with the interest in this oil? Was it popular at the track this weekend?

That’s because Amsoil has 42,000,000,0001 representatives that work on commission.
